TGIT

Thank God It's Thursday! (Almost.)

Well, at least the midterm is over. It might end up being the hardest one of the semester, but I still have Roman History, which is even more information and dates - but from a long, long time ago. If I can't remember the year 1514 (Raphael completes Chigi Chapel), how will I remember 133...BC! (When Tiberius Gracchus is tribune at Rome - which I totally did NOT remember, and had to look up.)

The biggest problem I have with all these facts is that I never remember them completely (especially during the tests). Bits and pieces, maybe half a date, random "fun" facts - but never the whole thing. I thought being and living in Rome, the city I am learning about, would help me remember these things a whole lot better than sitting in a lecture classroom at home, only imagining what Santa Maria del Popolo looked like. I created another blog, where I will be posting my notes from each week. I need to make sure everything stays fresh in my mind so when the final comes around, I won't be so overwhelmed.

The best part about Wednesdays? Tomorrow is Thursday. Movie day! And since we have our midterm coming up, we're watching another comedy. Finally! A chance to relax a little!

This upcoming Monday, I'm scheduled to have three midterms right in a row (without breaks!), but I can get that changed. Otherwise, I'd have History, Mythology, and then Italian. That would not make me a happy student. I'm thinking I'll change either History or Mythology to Tuesday. This way, I could either take an extra night to study for History OR have a break in between Myth and Italian. We'll see how I feel by the end of this week.

Well, I'm off to cook myself something fancy.

(On second thought, I think I hear that box of pasta calling my name...)
